URSULA BURNS

After a 4 year detour in the comedy circuit, composing musicals for theatre, and a few years' circus touring in the big tops, Belfast's Most Dangerous Harpist in the World is releasing her 5th, self penned, self financed album.

Ursula Burns has finally managed to open her songbook of wonderous delights to rustle up a gem of an album due for release on the 4th of May 2016. The first single is aptly named 'COMEDIAN'.

This spirited album was recorded and produced by Northern Ireland's Michael Mormecha at Millbank Studios. Considering he plays everything from the drums to the pan fried courgettes, these two make a mighty combination. The only downside to his brilliance is that she now has to stop singing 'It Does Not Rock' and admit that the equation of Mormecha + Harp = It Does Rock!

Reflected in COMEDIAN and her other songs are mixtures of dark, light, deep and lovely, with a handful of dirt. Who knew that Burns and Mormecha would produce this rabbit out of a hat in a one week session? Magic!

Ursula Burns from Belfast, Ireland. Defies musical barriers with notions of temporal, spatial and cosmic displacement. Inventor of her own unique wild style of harp playing which is traditional, modern as well as contemporary. A spellbinding voice. To find out more about this artist go to:
