Milk N' Honey
Milk N' Honey from Charlotte, North Carolina was founded in 2015 when guitarists and songwriters, Claiborne Williams and Brian Dorcy met while playing outside their residence hall at UNC Charlotte. The songs that emerged out of these first sessions became so popular among the live audiences that the duo decided to take it a step further. The addition of Ryan Phillips on bass guitar brought an entirely new element. Working his stylistic high energy funk mixed with beautifully crafted bass lines, the band began writing and recording music. The latest expansion of the group happened when drummer Ryan Chabon joined adding his punchy balance and smooth rhythms bringing Milk N' Honey to its sound today.
After recording their first EP “Gone”, the band went on to play shows in Charlotte and Raleigh, N. C. over the summer of 2016. Eventually they took their rock n’ roll to stages and theaters all across North Carolina. Their single “Momma’s Kitchen” was then released and Milk N’ Honey connected with their audience after dropping their songs on Spotify, iTunes, and Google Play. Their music has rotated in radio play within 3 continents (Europe, Australia, North America). The band now plans on touring, releasing and recording more new music, giving everyone a taste of one of the sweetest high energy rock n’ roll groups of today.
Some interesting facts about the band:
1) Only 2 of the band members live in the same city! They are spread across North Carolina in Boone, Raleigh, and Charlotte.
2) Chabon is Milk N' Honey's third drummer.
3) Ryan can chug a half gallon of milk in 47.22 seconds (non-regional record).
4) Chabon is also Milk N' Honey's producer and recording engineer at Crimson Moon Records in Raleigh, North Carolina.
5) Brian (lead guitar) is the band's graphic artist and designs all logos and album covers.
The songs for review are from their Floor of Diamonds EP which was released on June 30, 2017.

Tuesday Morning - Upbeat guitars and added drums. I get the feeling that we're one in the same. Yet nobody wants to hear it that way. You win a medal for coming in last place but who's keeping score . . . . .

American Whiskey - I swore I figured out right when the sun set down. There was a girl who sold her soul; traded it in for a little bit of gold. . . . . Slow country rock with a touch of the blues.
