IN LETTER FORM
In Letter Form, from San Francisco, play Post Punk, Cold Wave and Dark Wave. Sounding like Joy Division and The Cure, they push the revolution and take it to another level delivering a sound that echoes the past, haunts the present and is constantly in the future. The members of the band are Eric Miranda – lead vocals, synthesizer and guitar, James Levis – guitar, Peter Dosanjh – bass, and Andres Lopez – percussion.
Their music is so entrancing. Pulling you into their vortex, they make you want to lose your sense of control and spin you into layers of unforgettable longing. Eric’s voice gives a richer sound reminiscent of Ian Curtis. The music covers a multitude of similar bands encompassing a deeper lavishness of what each song represents. When you try to compare, it brings you back to ‘In Letter Form’s signature journey.

Reflecting the Rain – takes you on rhythmic beats until the guitar riff kicks in with such electronic verve. A melancholy synth is added on top of it all. What memory does it bring to you and do you see yourself within the picture? Your heart feels it. Hot tears well. It’s your rain and your reflection. What is seen? You want the love but are you afraid of it still?
-
Wait Now – shocks awaken to remind you of what is really trying to be accomplished. The rush of guitars depicts the anxiety of where you are trying to go. Slow down the beat, clear your mind and see what’s ahead of you. Sense the vestige of shadows multiplying in the voice. What is it that you really feel? Is it worth careening through time? Wait now and take control.
