Barely into 2015, Peter, had already been named one of the Hotpress Magazine's Hot Artists to watch this year. Hotpress described Peter as “one of the finest songwriters operating anywhere on this Island” and rightly so... he has been a finalist in the international song writing competition two years in a row reaching the final 16 artists from 16,000 entries.

His new CD, simply called ‘PM’, lists these songs which were under review. Listen to them and see what stands out within your heart and mind. Enjoy!

  • Stronger – Violins softly playing classically turn into a folk/pop tune. Uncertainty takes hold. Which direction do you turn to? You want but you turn away. Do you take the risk in finding out the answers? There is one way to find out. Have strength. You are stronger than you know. The music gallops through the emotions.

  • Song for winter – starts with a cascade of piano notes. In the coldness, looking up at the scars of the moon, the warmth is sought from the past.  Ciara O’Neill accompanies Peter in this song as in answer to his questions. Her thoughts, his thoughts. A gentle reverie. A violin drifts through the song. Find love and clues to bring you where you are.

  • When We Kiss – What sensations do you feel when you kiss? You know. Drums. Softly, then building to the climax. Is it there? This is what happens when you kiss. Do you hold back? Take the chance.

  • Dancing – A piano skips through as your feet dance. Smiles are given as you freely twirl.  A violin flows as sentiments are exchanged. A friend sees you through a relationship and is there when you need a friendship as you dance through life.

  • This Year - A guitar plays in a progressive folk rhythm. Added instruments accompany beautifully. Is it the weather or is it how one sees a relationship? Is it the distance? Wishes are sent in order to be held. It becomes sadness. No matter how one is missed, the closeness is there. It is felt. The instruments build in the calling then softness comes to be built up again. A violin takes it through.

  • I Remember – There are thoughts about how things were, the strength, and do you remember this? Music flows softly with the guitar and violin. Time goes by and moments are remembered. A voice joins in harmony.

  • Sarah – Plucking sounds of the guitar. See how things change when age becomes a factor? Sarah is missed, no matter what. Sorrow is proclaimed about the hurts that had passed. Forgiveness is asked for, both, please forgive; Sarah come back. The violin eases its strings around the song and a piano accompanies. Come home.

  • We Can Dream – With an indie feel, this song progresses electronically and the drum relates the beat remembering the past. Now we can dream of the good that can be as we bring the past to the present. The song goes into a strong country rock feel as the singing continues then ends.

  • Home – The piano hesitates its tune as if remembering the homeland. He’s been away and will those he had known remember him? He can’t call it home anymore. Sceneries have changed but he is back again remembering the past of what home used to be.

  • Save Me – The guitar strums. Does searching become a blindness? What happens when you search for love? Do you hold your breath?  Will it appear? Will you find her? Please save me. He wants to find her. Piano and the gentleness of the violin takes you to where she will be.

Peter brings the longings of what used to be, what the heart holds and what will whisper to you in the future. Feel the spark of what his songs try to convey. To find out more about Peter go to:
