The Gravity Drive

The Gravity Drive is from Bridport, England. The band members are: Elijah Wolf - songwriter, vocals, guitar and piano and Ava Wolf - vocals, programming and arrangements. Success hasn't come quickly for the pair. It's taken years of dedication. From the beginning, they've supported their own recording efforts. Then they discovered a secret weapon. Pete Schwier, who lives at Hooke, has engineered, mixed or produced albums for some of the biggest names in the music industry. He started with Kim Wilde's Kids In America, did two albums for The Jam, six albums for the Pet Shop Boys, two for Duran Duran, worked with Frankie Goes To Hollywood; the list goes on and on. Living in southwest England has its advantages because there are so many venues to play to sharpen your craft. The natural beauty of the countryside is energizing.

The Wolfs live a simple lifestyle with their daughter in a small brick cottage near Netherbury. The house perches on a hillside and the garden tumbles down to a raggedy wood and stream. The pervasive spirit of the place is one of the inspirations for this album.

The Gravity Drive Unplugged features 4 songs. One of those songs may not be included within their new upcoming album. They are currently creating their second album called 'The Wildlight', songs which have already been played on daytime Radio 2 and BB6 Music. Ava and Elijah armed with Elijah's trusty Yairi acoustic and a splash of electric guitar display an intimate setting sharing a microphone and performing 3 of the tracks.

  • No-Ones Gonna Tell You - Acoustic guitar trumming. 'No one's gonna tell you what you really need to hear. You can convince yourself of anything my dear.  . . . . ' Great harmonizing.

  • Candle In The Dark - Acoustic guitar with emphasis on electric refrains. 'Where is the heart you were given to feel with. Where is the voice that you can call your own.  . . . . ' Harmonies.

  • What Is Love - Guitar strumming and harmonies. 'What is love. Is it that feeling that we hide from each other's eyes. Am I just dreaming, you and I. Are we just wasting each other's time.  . . . . '

  • Breakheart Hill - Beautiful strumming. Sorrowful. 'You can find your love on breakheart hill. Where the sun is low and the air is still. You don't know when you're going and you never will. But you can find your love on breakheart hill.  . . . . '

Alt folk and pop. Catchy, powerful and punchy. Harmony driven. Cinematic dreams about everyday life. Infectious and thoughtful. To find out more about The Gravity Drive go to:
